Phacebook-Sexy girlband set to spice up world of pop
A successful record producer behind hits of Westlife, Girls Aloud and N-Dubz is set to spice up the world of pop with his sexy new girl band ‘Phacebook.’ Manager Denis Ingoldsby is the man responsible for the five piece pussycat doll-esque group from London, who have strong Irish roots in Dublin and Cork.
Phacebook have just completed a three month tour as the support act of Brit award winning sensations JLS. The girls revealed that JLS “were so sweet and good fun to work with”. Prior to the JLS gigs, the band spent five months in America producing songs with Timbalands’ team.
Phacebooks’ story began when the girls became friends through popular social- networking site Facebook, where they all realised they shared the same passions. Band members include Polly Parsons, 23, Lauren Adele, 22, Charlotte Abrahams, 20, Vicky Longley, 21, and Talia Janson, 17.
Each of the girls have loved music since early childhood, and most of them have reputable experience in the entertainment industry. Vicky Longley, who has ancestors in Cork City, comes from a strong acting background; having spent years working on Nickelodeons hit kid show ‘Genie in the House.’ Lauren Adele, whose Grandmother is from Dublin, spent the last year building up her repertoire as a singer and songwriter.
Polly Parsons, who worked as a kid’s presenter alongside Aston from JLS for three years on ‘Fun song Factory’ introduced the group to manager Ingoldsby - and everything progressed from there on.
The girls, all highly talented in their own right, take a unique hands-on approach to the production of their work, which influences them to write their own songs and choreograph routines themselves. They’re musical inspirations include Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Whitney Houston and the late Michael Jackson.
Their catchy debut single ‘Next Best Thing’ is due for release in April and seems set to be a chart-topper, with its original beat showcasing the raw talent of all the band members. They’re not in the business for fame, but want to be successful and for people to “love our music and feel good whilst listening to it”.
The girls are highly ambitious and hold big plans for their future. According to bubbly blonde Vicky Longley they would like “to have at least three number ones”.
They’re going to be very busy over the next few months working hard to complete their album – already having five songs under wraps. Lauren Adele revealed that the group would like to do as well as JLS, “win some BRIT awards and go on a world tour”.
